This site is going to boldly go where no Star Trek Online gamer has gone before bringing people together for the massive multiplayer online game where people and their avatars are able to explore the Star Trek universe. Any one is able to join to be able to start their own Star Fleet group in the forum or look for one to join using the tools provided by the system. An added benefit is being able to fully participate in the number of forums for the game to help you learn about the universe and make your playing experience better.

The site will be running the new vBulletin 4.0. In the forum’s current state we currently have no ads in place, however the first 100 people who do join will have ads free for one year once ads are placed on the site.

Members of the forum will be able to buy membership which will grant them extra privileges and permissions. The final list hasn’t been determined as of yet of what will be provided in a paid membership, but some ideas floating around the staff here at FrakMedia! Productions will include:

• Ability to have a Private Forum with Full Permissions
• Ads Free (Minus FrakMedia! Productions Logo On the Bottom)
• Larger Upload Space
• Larger Private Message Space

More things as we develop the site. The FAQ and Board Rules will be finalized during the first week along with polishing up the site to ‘Star Trek’ standards.

We are also looking for two graphics and CSS3 developers that would become part of the staff of StarFleets.net and the FrakMedia! Productions team. FrakMedia! Productions team members allows you to have the Membership benefits without having to paid for. If you are interested, please send us an email via the Contact page.

The site allows you to save all the values in a HTML file so you don’t have to come back to the site, but you can always bookmark the scheme so you can share it with friends or your design team. It even allows you preview a mini design of the colors selected.

You could in theory use this for any purpose including painting your home or apartment and not just websites.

From our original host ‘The Planet‘ to ‘Media Temple (mt)’ and now.. pair Networks.

Media Temple (our host for everything else) has really helped us in trying to get us online and allowing us to try different services they offer to help get the Wiki online. Because our popularity they could not accommodate us with the needs our site needs. (We get about 438 unique hits a minute.)

The pair Networks approached us during our down time and offered to lend a hand and was able to get our server up and running within less than 48 hours after we agreed to a deal for hosting. Both hosting networks should be thanked very much in helping us get back and looking for the right solution.

Myself and Joe would like to thank ‘The Planet’ for the year of service that they provided hosting both Apollo and Athena servers during our huge and crazy growth and ‘Media Temple’ for their help. For the foreseeable future we are going to be stable with what we have on ‘pair Networks‘.

As of this post all the databases and files (images, code, etc) have been moved to the new server. We are awaiting access to be able to install:

• Webmin
• Squid

Even though our server for the Battlsetar Wiki is huge, we are still going to run the site behind the Squid Server to reduce the load as much as possible, even though the server has the resources to handle almost every request known to man even during the busy periods. This will just help out so we can have the two times the heavy load periods (usually before and after an episode airs).

Also, we had maintained a separate blog (Called “Case Orange”) for emergencies, we are just going to keep all those types of posts here under the main FrakMedia! Productions, LLC blog to keep things simple enough.

Now for the real news.

We are now officially an Limited Liability Corporation (LLC). We been so since the end of November, but we wanted to re-launch the website and our own sites before we made everything public. We decided that for us to grow and expand into other sections of social media we needed to change our image and a web design is always a good start.

Right now we officially support our two major sites:

• Battlestar Wiki
• Battlestar Forum

Our other websites that we support will be updated in due course. All sites are currently being renovated just like this one. So hold on to your hats.

Anyway as we grow away from science fiction sites and move into social media we will be in the near future going to be offering services in:

• Website Services – Which would include full design services and hosting.
• Consultation Services for WordPress
• Custom Programing

This is a real treat for both myself and Joe as we both put a lot of time into all these things — including providing the resources and ability for our own sites to be free and community driven.  Take it from us, we know how to bring a community together.

Also on a personal level, myself and Joe thank you for being with us these many years from when the Battlestar Wiki was first launched in cira 2005 through 2010 (today!). During these times it’s really hard to maintain community driving sites, but you the readers and participants that keep our will and strength up. Now I hope we can help you further in your social media needs.
