The Featured Gallery Widget is a simple widget that allows you to insert the needed PHP call in any widgeted area of your WordPress website, as so long as you are using a widgeted theme.
In order to use this widget in your theme, you need to have the Featured Content Gallery plugin installed and configured. See “Configuration” for details.
This plugin is available in the WordPress plugin repository, and is installable by the plugin installer in the dashboard of your WordPress enabled site. Further, we do offer the version 0.1 as a download.
Features
- Just drag the widget to the sidebar / widgeted area of your choice… and that’s it. Nothing to configure!
Installation
Installation is a breeze.
- Download the zip file and decompress.
- Upload the folder “featured-gallery-widget” to your “/wp-content/plugins” directory.
- Go to your Dashboard > Plugins page and activate the Featured Gallery Widget.
- Once activated, go to your Appearance > Widgets page and drag the Featured Gallery Widget to the sidebar / widgeted area of your choice.
- And, that is it. Nothing else to configure!
Configuration
Nothing to configure. The only thing you need to do is make sure you have the most recent version of the Featured Content Gallery plugin installed. Install it through your dashboard (search for “Featured Content Gallery”) or click here.
Known Issues
The only known issue at present is the fact that you can only create one instance of this widget, which is really all you’d need anyway.
